2005년‘ICE-2005(International Conference on Electroceramics)’이 지난 6월 12일부터 16일까지 한국과학기술연구원에서 개최됐다. 올해로 2회째인 이번 학술대회는 해외연구진 약 100여명이 참가한 가운데 전자세라믹에 대한 연구결과를 발표하는 형식으로 이뤄졌다. 첫째날인 12일에는 워크샵이 이뤄졌으며, 13일부터 의장인 김윤호 박사의 개회사를 시작으로 16일까지 본격적인 학술대회가 펼쳐졌다. 한국과학기술연구원의 윤석진 박사는 “이번 학술대회가 활발히 진행되고 있는 우리나라의 전자세라믹 연구를 재고해 볼 수 있는 기회”라며 “국내 연구동향 뿐만아니라 세계의 흐름까지 엿볼 수 있으며, 각종 정보의 교류와 공유가 이뤄져 향후 연구까지 파악할 수 있는 자리이다”라고 밝혔다.
